I just wanted to say how much Cora and her friends enjoyed the party yesterday.  She was so thrilled to be riding Buffy on her own and all the kids had a fab time and said they wanted to come back soon for more!  All the parents who attended also made very appreciative comments about how the party was done and what the children learned.  I was certainly very pleased myself and if I hadn't spent so much time chatting would have learnt a lot myself about riding….
Would you please pass our thanks on to Kathryn, Martin, Ben and the young girl who helped (sorry, not sure of name) and we hope to be back soon.
Thank you so very much for teaching me how to ride this school year, I have developed my skills in riding and have really enjoy everything about the  horses. I hope to see you in the summertime if I get a chance I defiantly will come to Quantock school of riding to have a one to one riding lesson. Again thank you very much.

I have been riding for just over 11 years now and have been to lots of different riding stables over the years, but the Quantock School of Riding is by far the best I have ever been to.  It is not your typical riding school where all the poor ponies and horses are overworked, doing too many hours on the trot without a break.  These horses and ponies are looked after properly and never over worked.  They live out all year and are very happy horses!!  For me, this is always important when looking for a new riding school.
In terms of teaching, the instruction is brilliant.  Cath is the best instructor I have ever had.  I learn something new every time I have a lesson, and have improved more and learnt more in a space of three months than I ever had done in the years previous.  She has reawakened my passion for riding, and I now want to take it far more seriously in regards to competing and getting qualifications, and making horse riding and horsemanship a real asset to me.
The Quantock School of Riding has a wonderful, friendly atmosphere in a beautiful location in the depths of the Quantocks.  They have so much to offer to everyone, children and adults.  I am currently living in Germany, but I cannot wait to go back in the summer to go riding there – Cath and Martin will probably not be able to get rid of me!!

Our daughter has been given the most wonderful start in her pony-career at the Quantock School of Riding. The encouragement and care offered by Cath and her team have allowed her to blossom in this most idyllic environment. They have taken a shy little girl and fashioned her into someone who is very confident and very competent around ponies.
She has been instilled with the old adage that ‘if a job is worth doing then it is worth doing well’ and certainly, where horses are concerned every job is done properly and to the very best of her ability. All this learning is done in the most gentle manner and is such that the children are barely aware of the knowledge they are absorbing.
The attitudes are such that all the children appreciate and help each other with the tasks around the stable yard and all offer each other encouragement and praise. Marvellous teamwork many thanks, Quantock School of Riding.

Anna started attending the Quantock School of Riding in 2010 and started competing in the following Summer last year. She has had great success with her pony Harvey. She tries her hand at all aspects of competing from showing to Jumping to dressage and is enthusiastic about them all. She won Best Pony Club Pony at Tiverton Horse Show in 2011, and on her first ever attempt at a mini One Day Event she won her Novice section.
Anna is an active member of her school riding team who have are placed on most occasions in their ODE and show jumping outings.
Most recently she has qualified for the Pony Club Dengie Area Dressage Competition.
We are all very excited about what riding adventures are to come for Anna but we rest assure that her approach is grounded in the QSOR ethos of doing things the right way. Anna always puts her pony’s needs before her own, ensuring tack, stable and all things equine are just how Cath would want it!

Dear Cathy and team

I am writing to thank you for your hard work, dedication and professionalism in helping my Grand Daughter achieve unbelievable results with her Show Jumping and also with her confidence in herself in general.

She is a quiet but dedicated child who has flourished under your wing and being picked to ride on the School’s Junior and Senior Show Jumping Team as well as qualifying for the Junior Show Jumper of the Year in 2010 at the age of 8 years old was beyond our wildest dreams.

I am very happy for my letter to be used in support of yourself and the team at the Quantock School of Riding, in any way you see appropriate. Thank you again and I wish you every success for the future.

Yours sincerely, Jocelyn D Ayre
